My Experience Working Out With a Personal Trainer

The decision to hire a personal trainer is an empowering one. Having a fitness expert guide you through workouts and nutrition is invaluable. Y’all know that I love to workout and that I’m always trying new things to make my body the best it can be- physically and mentally. That being said, I’d never experienced personal training. To start, I sat down with founder Stephany Acosta, who’s equal parts motivating and inspiring. She had me answer questions about my lifestyle, current workout routines and diet. Additionally, she had me complete several introductory fitness tests that let her see exactly where I was physically compared to where I wanted to be. Most importantly, we talked about my goals. Stephany and her team of personal trainers created a personalized plan that outlined a comprehensive way to achieve my goals according to my schedule and budget.

What was my experience like? During every workout my PT showed me what to do and why I was doing it. This was a huge breakthrough for me. Over the years, I’d tried lots of different workout classes and at home workouts, but I’d never been taught the science of how the workouts I’m doing will help me. For example, Stephany noticed how tight my hips were from how I run and do certain exercises. She helped me understand how fluid my body will move after I dedicate time to stretch before my morning runs. Stretching my legs and hips allowed me to have a wider range of motion, which progressed my workouts exponentially.

I loved how I could apply what I had learned in my sessions to my personal workouts at home. If I had questions, I could reach out to the team. It couldn’t have been easier to follow my plan to achieve my goals. In addition to that, Elevate Fitness offers incredible guidance for nutrition.

If you're new to working out, that's no problem either since their team of trainers work with all fitness levels. Basically what I'm saying is that there's no excuse to start living your best life - starting with your body!
