After Work Fun - Where to Go For Happy Hour

I remember it like yesterday. I was wrapping up a long day at my internship with L'Oreal last summer when I received a Skype IM from a colleague saying nothing but "HH?" I'm embarrassed to say now that I was stumped. Almost googling the term, I broke down and asked what she meant. She replied with two words that would change my work weeks forever: happy hour. Today, I'm sharing my experience at Moxie's Grill and Bar and telling you why this place should become your new go-to for HH.

Like this dress? Let me tell you why you need to buy this ASAP. The fit is perfect and for under $35, it's a steal. Every woman needs a neutral work dress. You know the one. It's the kind of dress that transitions with you through the seasons and can be dressed up or down. I chose to wear this one with these white Steve Madden heels. Your work dress doesn't need to be boring - especially when you've got a happy hour to attend when the clock strikes 5 PM. Add some lip gloss, throw on your fun coat and you're good to go.

Moxie's restaurants are especially great for happy hour. Their menu, daily drink specials, and atmosphere match the needs of the modern-day working man or woman - sophisticated enough to gather after work but fun enough to want to keep coming back to watch a game or meet up with the girls. Their menu features the classics you'd expect from a grill or steakhouse, but the vibe here is full of positive energy and moxie (pep, courage, and determination) which is why so many Dallas socialites gather here.

On weekdays from 3PM - 6PM you can find your happy place with table side gauc, potstickers, and lettuce wraps. All three are plated beautifully and sized perfectly for sharing. Because the options are classics, you can feel good about ordering any (or all) of them for your happy hour crew. The table side guac was my favorite. There's something about fresh ingredients coming together right in front of you that takes the edge off from your work as you relax and think about the simpler things in life. Goodbye awkward water cooler conversation and hello fresh avocados and tomatoes.

Maybe it's been an especially long day and you're parched, searching for something refreshing to enjoy. Moxie's has wines, craft beers, and specialty drinks on the happy hour list that you'll love. I tried the house-made hard lemonade. It was both tart and sweet and comes in a picture worthy mason jar.

Finish off your happy hour with a picture by their mural wall right outside. Happy hour is the great equalizer that brings people from all departments and walks of life together. It's the time we all look forward to when we watch the clock at work. Slip on your work dress and get out there. Don't forget your business cards. You never know who you'll run into.

Thank you to Moxie's for partnering with me on this post!
