Kendra Scott Hoops | Tularosa Dress | Steve Madden Heels
Fall is my favorite season. I love the scent of pumpkin bread in the oven, getting a corn dog at the Texas State Fair, walking through pumpkin patches, and seeing Christmas come closer and closer on my calendar. This fall I'm looking forward to spending time with my friends and drinking my annual pumpkin spiced latte from Starbucks. Here's a list of my favorite trends and a fall "to-do list" to complete.
1) Statement Socks and Tights
Sometimes I'm willing to brave the cold and opt to go bare-legged as the temps plummet in the evenings, but I would rather grab a pair of bold tights to face our crazy Texas weather. I love to transition my dresses and skirts into fall and winter with tights. Bold prints make your average sweater dress a level cuter.
Lace Tights | Starry Tulle Socks | Gucci Print Tights | Fishnet Ankle Socks | Polka Dot Tights | Cheetah Print Socks
2. Animal Prints
I've been seeing animals everywhere lately, and I think it can be really fun to wear. Disregard the image of neon zebra print in Claire's and welcome leopard and snakeskin back into your life. I think that animal pints can be a great addition to a simple outfit. Here are some of my favorites that I found. The By the Way blouse in the bottom right corner is from Revolve. BP Blouse | Top Shop Bag | Tory Burch Sandals | Halogen Boots | Top Shop Skirt | By the Way Blouse
3. Fall Florals
Florals for spring may not be "groundbreaking" but I'm loving the deeper hues and velvet textures that revamp this feminine pattern for fall. Unlike spring florals, designers are using florals in the fall with darker tones like black or auburn. I wore the bottom right dress from Revolve to a wedding with Clayton and absolutely loved it.
3/4 Sleeve Dress | Crushed Velvet Black Dress | Black Floral Top (I wear this one often) | Off the Shoulder Dress (40% off) | Pink Blouse | Tulle Dress
4) Colorful Stripes
A favorite character of mine once said "The best time to wear a striped sweater is all the time." Arguably fall's biggest trend, stripes are everywhere right now. I love adding color to my outfit with stripes to go with a solid color pair of jeans. Here are some of my favorite finds at all different prices:
Distressed Color Block Sweater | Sequin Embellished Top | Pink Accent Sweater | White V-Neck Sweater | Keyhole Dress | Multi Color Sweater
5) Bold Earrings
There's no better way to complete your fall look then to add a pair of bold earrings. This fall I love wearing jewel tones and rose gold or a fun pattern like cheetah print. Bauble Bar and Kendra Scott (of course) have lots of great additions for this fall. You can see me wearing the maroon hoops (top right) in the first picture of Clayton and I.
Pink Beaded Earrings | Jeweled Hoops | Beaded Hoops | Cheetah Print Hoops | Black Shimmer Earrings | Multi Color Hoops
Last but not least, I've compiled a list of activities to do this fall. Enjoy the weather, changing colors on the trees, and the copious amounts of pumpkin spiced items in the grocery store. Winter may be the most wonderful time of the year but fall is the coziest.
Things to do this fall:
Take a trip to a pumpkin patch
Tailgate at a football game
Bake someone a fall treat (pumpkin bread, apple pie, etc.)
Go to the state fair
Make caramel apples
Attend a Halloween party
Happy fall, y'all!
