Making My 2018 Dream Board

Ever heard of the law of attraction? Simply put, its the theory that if you think about something happening in your life enough, you're more likely to go after it, making it more likely to actually occur.

It sounds crazy, right? But I think that there is some truth behind it. Writing things down has always helped me in organizing my life. For example, if I write something in my planner, I'm far more likely to remember it and do it than if I hadn't written it down at all.

This year, I decided that I would make a "mood board" (or vision/dream/inspiration board) for 2018 in hopes that my goals would become reality.

Here's what I did:

I found this framed cork board at Target for $9.99. I liked the dark frame and the size. I figured that even if these things don't come true I only invested less than ten dollars lol.... Next I filled the board with inspirational quotes and pictures of what I want to achieve. It's really that simple.

What I included on my board:

  • Go to New York City for my birthday

  • Meet Casey Neistat (film maker)

  • Get another internship this summer

  • Try to be completely dairy free

  • Keep my 4.0

  • Go to Cabo for Spring Break

  • Get 1000 Instagram followers

  • Run more using the Nike Running Club app

  • Train for a half marathon

  • Visit Sam in Paris

  • Get 100 email subscribers for my blog! Look on the bottom of the page!!

I decided to dream big this year. I filled my board with things that may seem out of reach right now.

It's important to place the board in a place where you will see it everyday. I'm putting mine above my desk in my apartment. If you make a dream board this year, I'd love to see it!

Dream big.
