I was born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia but hadn’t been back in about five years. It just so happened that my sister, Sam, had to go to Atlanta to get her visa to study abroad next semester. So my mom, Sam and I decided to make a trip out of it. A short trip, but a trip non the less. It started on Tuesday when we left Dallas in the evening and landed in Atlanta just in time to get some shopping in. Atlanta has two premier malls within miles of each other. Lenox and Phipps.
I should preface this with saying thank you to my mom for 1) taking us on a spontaneous girls trip and 2) being so generous to let us Christmas shop on her account. Literally. Thank you so much mom ❤️ #BestMomEver
Day 1: Lenox Mall
There's nothing like going to a mall decorated for Christmas and shopping with the people you love. Its hectic, exciting and special all at once because you are surrounded by people who are feeling the same way that you are. We started our shopping at Lenox Mall which was conveniently located across from our hotel. Here's some of what we found:
Nars Pallet | Top Shop Star Jumpsuit | Top Shop Double Buckle Belt | VS Pj Set (we all three got matching sets!) | the VS Balmain Collection (omg)
Day 2: Phipps Plaza

Top Shop Faux Fur Scarf | Silver Embellished Jacket (Sold Out) | Sam Edelman Over the Knee Boots

We started day two with brunch at the Ritz-Carolton downtown. My mom and Sam ordered pimento cheese grits and I got the eggs and breakfast potatoes. Check out my blog about my favorite brunch places to see more about my favorite meal of the day.
Sam had appointments this morning, so my mom and I spent time relaxing while we waited for her. It's kind of nice doing nothing during the busy holiday season. My feet liked it too since I wore heels both days...
Phipps Plaza has all of the high end stores. Think Rodeo Drive on roids. Sam raided the Gucci Store. Here's what we found:
Gucci Shoes | Gucci Belt | Trouve Top | Free People Top | Chloe Sunglasses
In conclusion, Sam got her visa and we went home with full bags. Another successful girls trip in the books! Thanks for taking us shopping, mom. We love you. Atlanta, thank you for an amazing 24 hours. See you next time :)
