My Favorite Brunch Spots in Dallas

My favorite meal is brunch. Being a morning person, getting up and heading out to a restaurant for fancy breakfast foods excites me.

Without further ado, here are my favorite places to grab brunch in no particular order:

1) Americano (Dallas, TX)

Located inside the Joule hotel downtown, Americano is the cutest Italian inspired restaurant to get authentic espresso and modern Mediterranean decor. Sit in the covered outside area to get views of the busy Dallas streets. They're menu is full of thin crust pizzas, delish salads and desserts made for sharing.

What to order: the breakfast pizza or the house-made nutella filled doughnuts (yum)

2) UP Inspired Kitchen (Frisco, TX)

Calling all brunch enthusiasts! UP Inspired Kitchen has become my new go-to spot for brunch or lunch and is about to become yours too. Gluten free? Vegetarian? Vegan? No problem, this place has delicious options for everyone. But it's not just the food here that keeps me coming back. It's the staff, uplifting atmosphere and good vibes that emit from this place. Trust me, you need to stop in.

What to order: the ham n cheese toast or the UP cakes (pancakes, berries and creme fraiche)

Check them out: www.upinspiredkitchen.com

3) Main Street Bistro and Bakery (Plano, TX)

So this place is close to my heart because of how many times I've been here. The staff knows me by name lol. Located in the heart of the Shops at Legacy, Main Street Bistro is a gem. The food is always great and the their patio is hard to beat. Perfect for a date or girl time. I love this place for their many coffee/latte flavors and the huge mimosas. Their menu offers tons of breakfast faves.

What to order: the Le Parisian (award winning croissant, eggs and bacon) or the strawberry crepes

Check them out: www.themainbakery.com

4) The Grape (Dallas, TX)

I've only been here once, but since it's on my favorites list, you know it has to be good. First off, the decor is super cozy. Their Sunday brunch is one you will remember. Also, this place is known for their burger. Texas Monthly's "Best Burger in Texas" actually. I went here with my boyfriend's entire family and we had the best time.

What to order: the biscuits and gravy or the burger (you already know)

5) Sixty Vines (Plano, TX)

More commonly known for their large selection of wines, Sixty Vines has a brunch that is equally as wow-worthy. Cheers! Try to grab a seat in their greenhouse. Its super cute with a fountain and fireplace. Truthfully, I've never sat anywhere else! The atmosphere is perfect for enjoying a mimosa and ordering anything from their brunch selection.

What to order: the breakfast sandwich (tomato, avacado, brie, bacon, eggs--big enough to share!) or the pinapple upsidedown pancakes

Check them out: www.sixtyvines.com

6) Sugar Bacon (McKinney, TX)

Right off of McKinney Square, Sugar Bacon may be one of the most charming southern inspired restaurants in the Dallas area. The portion sizes are larger than most so plan to share. They literally serve sugar bacon - hence the name. It's as delicious as it sounds. Small, sweet, pork bbq on a crostini. The perfect appetizer.

What to order: the sugar bacon (duh) or the bbq shrimp and grits

Check them out: www.sugarbacon.com

7) Barley & Board (Denton, TX)

If cheese boards get you going, your'e in for a treat here. Barley & Board's eclectic decor and ornate drinks are sure to tempt you to become a Denton hipster. The brunch here is great. I love going here on Sundays followed by shopping in Denton square. After you try brunch here, come back for dinner sometime and order the mother board. Your'e welcome.

What to order: the banana nut pancakes or the smoked salmon scramble (eggs, spinach, salmon, potatoes and toast)

Check them out: www.barleyandboard.com

List will be updated! The brunching always continues.
